Our Story

The original Stonemason, Batista Maggetti, started the family's winery-building tradition in 1860 when he helped build the Greystone Winery(now Culinary Institute of America) in St. Helena. Husband and wife team Francesca and TJ Elam founded Stonemason Cellars in 2019, using TJ's great-great-grandfather as inspiration.

Our Philosophy

The philosophy at Stonemason Cellars is that the best wine starts with the best vineyard. We focus on low input and low additive winemaking to allow the wine to express itself fully like the vineyard and terroir intended. We are proud to farm over 15 acres of vineyards where we grow the grapes that make our exceptional wines. Tending the vineyards lets us control the winemaking process, ensuring that every bottle we produce meets our high standards.

Wine Club

At Stonemason Cellars, we take great pride in our commitment to quality. We sell all of our wines directly to our valued consumers without the use of any distributors or wholesale. Because we are a small production winery, we earmark most of our inventory for our Wine Club Members. Our Wine Club Members are the cornerstone of our business model!
