Stonemason Cellars is a premium boutique winery producing hand-crafted, limited-production wines from vineyards in Sonoma County, including Alexander Valley, Russian River Valley, Sonoma Valley, and beyond. We believe that excellent wine starts with cultivation in the vineyard. We hand-select only the highest quality fruit to go into the wines we make. This process results in a selection of wine that is elegant and robust in flavor while showcasing the distinctive terroir indicative of Sonoma County Wine.
As a company, Stonemason Cellars values leaving the earth in a better condition than we found it. We use sustainable and organic farming practices because winemaking begins in the vineyard, and what happens there significantly impacts the quality of the wine. We try to use as few additives in the wine-making process as possible, producing many of our wines with native yeasts, natural acids, and as little sulfur as possible.
We have crafted the wine-tasting experience in our Santa Rosa tasting room to center around how food compliments our wine. The food and wine pairing tasting experience features several of the wines from our portfolio and is accompanied by small, easy-to-replicate “bites.” The food and wine pairings help guests appreciate how food can accentuate a wine's flavor profile. Our staff loves educating guests on wine. Whether this is your first tasting or you're a seasoned pro, we know you will leave our tasting room having learned something new.
Founder and winemaker TJ Elam, and his wife, Francesca, launched Stonemason Cellars in 2019 based on a simple idea: to create a wine with “as much character as the people who make it.” They take pride in knowing that their passion for the craft shows through from every grape cluster they grow to every bottle of wine their team produces.
